Walk-for-Life
Mark your calendar for the third Saturday in October for our annual Walk for Life, lace up your sneakers and prepare for a time of fun, fellowship, a little exercise and even some great door prizes. If you haven’t walked before, you have missed a blessing. The short two-mile walk is in downtown Ozark on good, solid, flat surfaces.
The Walk for Life is a great way to partner with the Ministry of Sav-A-Life of Dale County. Walk forms are provided and walkers simply ask friends, family and coworkers to sponsor them. Church groups as well as individuals are invited to participate. If your church has never participated and you would like to serve as church liaison, call 774-4419. What is a church liaison? A person who keeps their own congregation up to speed on what is happening at the Center. We supply the information and you share it with your church.

Walk for Life 2011 raises $8,140 We had a small crowd this year, but smiling faces and always children’s laughter to make it such a wonderful event – and what a beautiful day! The sun was shining, the wind was absent, the temperature was perfect. Thank you to all who came and to all who sponsored a walker. Each of you, the Walkers, the sponsors, Ozark Police Department, First United Methodist Church and every business who gave enabled us to have a wonderful walk this year. God bless you.
